How do I remove the brake drum from my 59 chevy?
I have tried everything that I can think of. On the fronts, I had to take out the bearings, but there is no end cap on the rear. I have beaten it to death with a hammer. One side will spin, but the other side is completely frozen. The back-off screws are adjusted all the way down, still nothing.
I have also tried all kinds of WD-40 and crap like that... ive been working on it for 3 days
I had a similar problem a few years back with a Nissan 4x4, first make sure the emergency brake is off, then you can use a 3 leg gear puller to pop it off, you should be able to buy one from tool store, i have also heard of people putting the lug nuts back on and tapping the wheel studs out with a hammer to get them off that way, but caution is required not to damage the studs.
